Dear Billy and Bonnie,

Just a quick line to let you know how I'm getting on. As you know it’s months now since I came to live with Tony, Jayne, Marlene and my new boyfriend Metz. Even though he is four years older than me I must admit to liking the respect you get from the older man. I have now got used to the 'wee' times and don't steal nearly as much as I used to!

Today mum took us for a ride in the car to get some shopping - this is Metz’s favourite activity as it doesn't involve any walking. We went to pick up the papers (very boring), then we went for eggs (not done this one before), but quite interested in the farmyard!!!!  We finished up with a quick trip to the Co-op - Mum did stress I was not to touch the eggs, well to be honest they looked very uninteresting. Anyway you know how curiosity gets the better of you, when someone says DON'T. I just had to see what was so special about these strange looking round things. I took one and it cracked in my mouth! (Metz gave me that ‘you've done it again’ look - anyone would think he was perfect!!!!). By the time Mum got back I had managed five eggs but I didn't make hardly any mess, they are really lush! Mum pretended to be really cross, but I could see she thought it was quite amusing really. Then she rang Dad on the mobile to tell him (I've had a passion for them in the past). I must say this shopping is a lot better than I first thought!

Anyway, had better close as I am stuffed and shattered from the afternoon’s events! Keep in touch.

Love Mabel.

PS. Metz sends his love too.
